Targeted website traffic is, essentially, a type of visitor that has been brought to your site because they have an interest in the content, products, or services there. This separates them from incidental traffic, which includes visitors who visit your site on accident, who are looking for something else, or for whatever reason are not directly interested in the content on your site. Obviously, targeted traffic is vastly more useful than incidental traffic, because they are more likely to view advertisements, purchase products, or use services offered by your website.
